2nd year equestrian sports
For those of you who have completed the first year at Fjordane FHS or have a similar background. If you have a vocational certificate or other documented competence, you can also apply for the second year. We focus on dressage, jumping and driving.
About the line
In the 2nd year horse line we go in depth. Focus on dressage, jumping and driving. Our goal is to always be able to give you and your horse instruction that is adapted to both your level; whether it is competition, education or just a year where you want to have fun with horses.
We focus on giving students instruction and knowledge that is useful on the path to further education and work with horses. For example, we have had several students who have gone on to the Norwegian Horse Center in Starum and receive riding instructor training there, after completing their schooling with us.

The students receive instruction in fitting, which means they get to try shoeing their own horse.
Fjordane has a good collaboration with the local riding club at Nordfjordeid, which gives students the opportunity to help arrange and carry out events.
Travel to conventions. We are planning to travel and start conventions around the district.
Theory subjects: riding instructor theory, dressage judging, stable management, etc.

Meet Hedda
– The year at Fjordane has been a year I will never forget! I have felt the high pulse in Hungarian mail, ridden many events and had an incredible time. I have learned a lot about horses and found that I actually want to work with it further.
