Five days of pure horse riding fun
On this school trip you can cultivate your horse madness for five days straight. Here you will join us in Herning to experience the stallion certification for the Danish Warmblood.
Together with your fellow students, you will see beautiful stallions competing for the title, and you will have the opportunity to watch dressage and jumping competitions at the elite level.
The stallions that are up for selection will be judged in several areas. They will be judged on free jumping, lunging, and free patterning, among other things. You can watch all of this, and maybe you'll find a favorite? Maybe you'll be able to pick out the stallion that comes out on top in the selection?
World-class competitions
In the competitions that are organized, you will experience horses, riders and riding of high quality. There are participants from several countries in Europe, including Norwegians, who you can cheer on in amazing jumps with high speed and lots of excitement. In the dressage competitions, they ride at levels from intermediate all the way up to Grand Prix. Here you will of course also experience and admire several talented horses and riders on the track.
Every year a spectacular Gala Show is held. The Gala Show offers a wide range of stunts, dance, singing, sound, light, speed and excitement – all combined with impressive riding, beautiful horses and varied entertainment for all horse lovers. An absolute highlight of your trip to Herning.
In addition to the stallion certification, there is a large exhibition area with over 300 exhibitors offering horse equipment for sale. The exhibition is called « Equestrian sports » and here you can find just about everything between heaven and earth for you and your horse. The shopping possibilities are endless!
Cozy stay in Silkeborg
During our stay in Denmark we will be staying at a cozy hostel in the city of Silkeborg. Here you will be able to join in on fun evenings with social activities, games and fun. It should also be mentioned that the food at the hostel is very good. You will get home-cooked and varied food, with a very good selection.
On the way back, before we take the boat back to Norway, we traditionally visit a well-known stud farm. Here we get a tour of the facility, and gain insight into how things go on at these large stud farms that breed many good stallions year after year.
As the trip draws to a close, you will be filled to the brim with equestrian impressions, inspiration and motivation. Now you can look forward to continuing your work with horses and riding when you return to school.
