Circus life in raw nature

On the Movement X Modern Circus line, you will immerse yourself in various circus disciplines, with a focus on mobility, strength, balance and coordination. Here you will use your body every day, challenge yourself and learn new skills.

The lessons are practical and varied. You work a lot on technique and the teachers follow you closely to ensure progression. You start with basic exercises and gradually move on to more advanced tricks. Of course, everything takes place within a safe and secure framework.

The training takes place at our school. Here we have everything from devil sticks to trampolines, and a well-equipped training room. In addition, we have access to the Hamna training center.

Psst! Did you know that we are the only circus line in Norway that is approved by FEDEC?

The plan states:

🤸Aerial and floor acrobatics

You will have fun on everything from trapeze, rings, trampolines and on the floor.

🤹‍♂️Juggling

Practice rhythm, precision and coordination with ball, cones and diabolo.

💪 Training, training, training!

In order for you to progress in the various circus disciplines, there will be regular strength, conditioning and mobility training.

🏄‍♂️ Trips to hidden gems in the local area

When the weather is good, we like to take our training sessions outside, with hikes in the mountains or surfing in Hoddevika.

💛 The good folk high school life

You will experience the good life at a folk high school, with fun activities and trips, and meet lots of new people.

This is what you will learn:

This year could be the start of further studies and where you find your direction.

  • Acrobatics : Learn techniques in trampoline, floor and aerial acrobatics.

  • Balance : You will get training in maintaining balance, whether it is in handstand, spinning wheel, tightrope, unicycle or rola bola.

  • Juggling and coordination : You learn to juggle with balls, cones and diabolo.

  • Strength and mobility training : You will get a lot of strength and mobility training to support your development as a circus artist.

  • Performing Arts : You gain experience on stage through performances and presentations. Here you learn to communicate, collaborate, and combine technique with expression to improve your presence.

  • Rigging : You will learn how to assemble and secure circus equipment safely. We will go through everything from safety routines to the practical use of ropes, suspensions and equipment.

Here you will gain knowledge about training, technique and body awareness that you will benefit from in many contexts. In addition, you will gain valuable experience from the stage that will make you more confident in larger gatherings.

Who is the line suitable for?

The line is suitable for those who love being active, enjoy physical training and challenging themselves. You do not need to have experience in circus disciplines. The most important thing is that you are motivated and committed.

Our expectations for you

  • You will be a good training buddy, contribute to good team spirit and build a good class and school environment.

  • You show up to classes and activities with a positive attitude.

  • You are willing to push yourself and test your own limits.

  • No prior knowledge is necessary, but you must be motivated, have a desire to train, and be ready to try something new.
