Do you need premises for courses, conferences or other events?
Are you looking for a venue for conferences, summer camps, anniversaries or other larger gatherings such as family reunions? From the end of May to mid-August, we open the entire school for rental, including accommodation.
Here you will find modern meeting facilities with large capacity.
Auditorium with stage and large screen
The auditorium was the former “main hall” at Nordfjordeid. Opera Nordfjord had its first performances here, and the municipal cinema was located here. It has high ceilings, a lighting and sound system and is ideal for conferences, courses and larger meetings.

The Longhouse: A different meeting room
In the longhouse in the Viking yard, you can invite your friends to a festive gathering, or how about having a department meeting in a different setting than you are used to?

Serving:
The kitchen is perfect for both simple meeting meals and serving for parties, depending on your needs. Contact us for a quote, and we will do our best to ensure you have a pleasant time in the Viking Yard.
Cozy meeting room
The fireplace room is a slightly “softer” alternative to a regular meeting room, with large sofas and tables.

Brand new meeting room in the staff wing, with entrance from the atrium.

Accommodation
During the student-free period, from mid-May to mid-August, it is also possible to rent one or more pavilions for courses, meetings or conferences.
Fjordane Folk High School has 9 pavilions with 4 double and 2 single rooms each. In total, each pavilion has a capacity for 10 people.
Meeting and conference food
If you would like to have food for your meeting, we can of course arrange this. We serve everything from coffee with fruit or cake, to hot lunches and party menus.
With a skilled chef at the helm, you will be served local ingredients that are prepared with respect for the seasons.
In the dining room we can seat up to 80 people, but we can seat even more if we open up to the fireplace room which is next door.
Example of Menu which we have in collaboration with Sagastad. This is a Viking-inspired Menu and is included in package 1 “Guild in the longhouse”.
In order for the event to be as you hope, close dialogue in advance is necessary. We can arrange most things:
We can make cakes, or you can bring your own cakes.
If you would like other decorations, you are welcome to bring them (candles, napkins, flowers, etc.). You must provide your own table settings and place cards.
All dishes can be adapted to accommodate food allergies and intolerances. Please let us know in advance so that we can ensure a good dining experience for everyone.
