Folk high school has been a common thread throughout his life. He grew up with parents who both worked at folk high schools, and in the fall of 2025 Samuel became part of Fjordane Folk High School. Here he gets to combine both professional knowledge and his passion for nature and people. He enjoys being outdoors, either on a trip with a fishing rod and camera, or on mountain and telemark skiing in the winter.
When he's not on tour, you can often find him in the band room, where he plays guitar, bass or banjo with the students.
