– It was time for a lift, says Silvia van Hesik Førde, principal at Fjordane Folk High School . – We want to show more of who we are today, and what a year in Fjordane Folk High School is actually about. We wanted an expression that is more modern, but at the same time preserves our identity. Our colors, shapes and tones reflect both the nature around us, our students and Our people ours who fill the school with life.
Colors and shapes inspired by fjords and mountains
The new color palette is inspired by the landscape we are a part of. The green colors symbolize nature, with mountains, fjords and forests, and our focus on the environment. The yellow, purple and pink stand for energy, diversity and warmth. The color palette thus shows everything that makes our folk high school alive.
– Together, the new colors give a modern, yet natural and fresh expression that feels right to us, adds Silvia.

At the same time, we are launching a new website, so that you can get a better insight into life on Fjordane Folk High School Here you will find updated online pages with more space, better images and a tone that is closer to the everyday lives of our students.
You will get to know the teachers, read about our trips, and see what everyday life actually looks like, from the dining hall to the rooms and pavilions you will be staying in.
Change comes step by step
You will first see our new profile on the website and in the digital spaces, but gradually also in brochures, posters and in other spaces. It will take some time before everything is in place.
