Viking expedition | Iceland
Cruise to Iceland
Before the plane takes us to Iceland, we will spend a couple of days taking in the best of the east and Oslo has to offer from the Viking Age.
Western Norway and Iceland have a lot in common, such as the desire for freedom and our temperament, the saga and history that we share. When we travel to Iceland, we go to museums, see historical sites, visit the Althing, see nature, learn more about runes and Norse speech and see what Snorri himself saw, as well as meet people who study history and language in Iceland.
Explore the land of fire and ice
The bravest will have a go at horse riding and glima wrestling, Iceland's traditional national sport. Everyone will have a go at bathing in hot springs and taking in the unique landscape with glaciers, where parts of Game of Thrones were filmed. You will feel like you are in a land where lava and ice have shaped nature. The trip comes just before the spring thaw in Iceland. There will also be time to get to know the people and Reykjavik a little.
