Elise Vonen

Elise has a background in both history and cultural heritage, and is passionate about communicating history in a living way.

She has a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Western Norway, a master's degree in museology and cultural heritage studies from the University of Oslo, and has herself been both a student and a fellow at Fjordane Folk High School.

For several years she has taught bead weaving at the school and has been involved in the dissemination of the Viking Age, crafts and cultural history. Elise thrives best when knowledge can be combined with practical work.

When she's not at school, she likes to spend her time reading, doing yoga, exercising, or doing crafts, and draws inspiration from both history and fantasy literature.
